Summary

An Amazon Charts and Wall Street Journal bestseller。

Three sisters’ secrets collide in a shocking novel of suspense by the bestselling author of the Mercy Kilpatrick series。

Twenty years ago Emily Mills’s father was murdered, and she found his body hanging in the backyard。 Her younger sister, Madison, claims she was asleep in her room。 Her older sister, Tara, claims she was out with friends。 The tragedy drove their mother to suicide and Tara to leave town forever。 The killer was caught。 The case closed。

Ever since, Emily and Madison have tried to forget what happened that night—until an eerily similar murder brings it all back。 It also brings FBI special agent Zander Wells to the Oregon logging town。 As eager as he is to solve the brutal double slaying, he is just as intrigued with the mystery of Emily’s and her sisters’ past。

When more blood is shed, Zander suspects there’s a secret buried in this town no one wants unearthed。 Is it something Emily and Madison don’t know? Or aren’t telling? And Tara? Maybe Emily can’t bear to find her。 Because when Tara disappeared, she took a secret of her own with her。

Constant turn of events。 You really don’t know “who done it” until the very end。

The Last Sister: A Thrilling Ride !Reading this story was like riding a wild roller coaster ride all the way through! The characters are definitely charming, intelligent, and witty as far as the sisters 。 As always there is hatred and envy that comes into play to create chaos。 I actually learned a few interesting historical details about the state of Oregon。 I was amazed to hear that Oregon was the first state that was created for only white people。 To think that it was like that little over 150 The Last Sister: A Thrilling Ride !Reading this story was like riding a wild roller coaster ride all the way through! This seemed like it was trying too hard or not hard enough。 Kind of a breezy read, but then attempted to get into racial issues and part mystery but also a love story。 Did not do much for me。

Read, DON'T Listen to It!It was an passable read。 I liked it being set in the Pacific Northwest & referring to places with which I am familiar。 The story & characters were ok。But the Audible version is awful。 Switching between listening & reading became impossible。 The male voice performances were not for me! The female performance was adequate, I couldn't tolerate her for long。I have many & much better books in my Library; I don't think I will spend any more time on the Columbia River series。 K Read, DON'T Listen to It!It was an passable read。 I liked it being set in the Pacific Northwest & referring to places with which I am familiar。 The story & characters were ok。But the Audible version is awful。 Switching between listening & reading became impossible。 The male voice performances were not for me! I would give this book the 3。5 stars I feel is a little more appropriate but, alas, that is not an option on here。Emily saw something the night her father was killed。 She'll never tell。Tara was afraid and she ran。。 but why? And Madison was awake that terrible night as well。。 did she see the killer?Three sisters, each with-holding information that could solve this puzzle of mystery and murder。Every small town knows the kind of people it harbors and this town is no different。 A man is murdered in I would give this book the 3。5 stars I feel is a little more appropriate but, alas, that is not an option on here。Emily saw something the night her father was killed。 She'll never tell。Tara was afraid and she ran。。 but why? I enjoyed this book, it had plenty of twists and turns to the storyline, the characters were great, I didn’t manage to work out the killer until later on in the book, so it kept me guessing!

Edge of your seatThis book kept me on the edge of my seat。 I could hardly set it down。 Very sad story。 And alot of truth about people still being racist to this day, which is a terrible thing。 The book was a great read and I plan to read the next one。

Pretty good yarn。 Interesting characters。 Dialog seems real。

When I read a novel, the title always sits in a corner of my mind, waiting to be connected and explained at some point in the story。 This one is still a mystery。 But that didn’t matter。 It’s an outstanding novel that I couldn’t put down! Action, personal relationships, characters — all strong!

Good book, fast-paced。 I never had a feeling whether the ending would be happy or tragic。 I rate it 4。6 stars。

I don't particularly like murder mysteries, but this one was ok。 There is a murder in the town where a man is found hanging dead from a tree。 Our heroine's father was also found dead this way when she was a small girl。 Coincidence? No está mal, la idea es buena pero le faltó algo。 Empezó bien y a pesar de tener un ritmo un poco lento estaba entretenida, pero la resolución de todo no me gustó mucho。 Entretenido y poco más。 2。5

Sharing my love of books (and my theme of 'Sister' reads) I do like thrillers, but my taste definitely errs on the side of 'cosy crime/mystery' as too gory descriptions give me nightmares, so I was a teeny bit squeamish in places reading this and did have to flick over a few pages。 However, it was a truly gripping read based in a part of the US I'm unfamiliar with, so I found the descriptions here equally compelling too。 Excellent characterisation, a few thumping plot twists 。。。 I loved the sist Sharing my love of books (and my theme of 'Sister' reads) I do like thrillers, but my taste definitely errs on the side of 'cosy crime/mystery' as too gory descriptions give me nightmares, so I was a teeny bit squeamish in places reading this and did have to flick over a few pages。 However, it was a truly gripping read based in a part of the US I'm unfamiliar with, so I found the descriptions here equally compelling too。 Excellent characterisation, a few thumping plot twists 。。。 I loved the sisters' elderly and slightly batty aunts 。。。 and I could almost taste the coffee in the diner。 FBI Special Agent Zander Wells was wonderfully portrayed and the developing relationship with one of the lead characters - no names, no spoilers - was well written and intriguing。 A fascinating small town setting, suspense and mystery with a flicker of romance。 Highly recommended。 。。。more

Predictable, shallow charactersNothing special about the story, the writing, or the characters。 Shallow and predictable。 not worth the time it took to read。

Thoroughly intriguing and enjoyableLots of suspense, family secrets and tragedy, and murder afoot! The author weaves an involving tale spanning generations of a particular family including the misperceptions of the townsfolk in the coastal Oregon town bearing their family name。 I didn’t see the reveal coming。。。had not figured out who the killer/s was/were。 I love when that happens。 This is book one of a trilogy。 I’m headed off to start book two now!
